VTC CONFERENCE WITH MICHAEL

Well yesterday was a very exciting day! The boat started a program called VTC, that is where you are able to go into a room for about 15 and do a conference via satalite with your spouse. Its been hard over the past few months because the boat has been working very hard to get the program set up. Yesterday was the 1st day of it and not only was it exciting but I was a bit nervious because I had the 1st time slot. It was at 1pm here my time and it was midnight there on the boat. So I got there a bit early and waited, finally was the moment when the guy walked in and said " are you ready to see your husband" all I could do was say " yes I am very ready". So I walked into the room and there he was sitting in a chair and looked so cute I must add. I sat down at a desk and looked at a TV screen and I could see him, as big as the screen. But I also could see myself in the bottom part of the TV in a small box. He on the other side could see the same, me as big as the screen and then him in a tiny box. We started to talk and it was just neat to see him and his face. He has lost a bunch of weight and you can really tell in his face. He looked really good, but very tired. Had a smile from ear to ear thats for sure. I finally got the nerve to ask him so are you ready, do you want to see my belly and how I have grown. He responded with " yes" and so I stood up and showed him. The look on his face I will never forget in a million years. Once I got done I sat down and said " well...", he was so suprised and all he could say was wow. You really are big in the belly. I think that it finally hit him that there was our two babies growing so fast inside me. It was a really neat experience and something I will never forget! I wanted to take Brenden, but we decided that wasnt such a great idea. He has had a very hard time since daddy left and so we figured that it would be just best not to do that. Brenden is keeping track daily of when his daddy will return. We are now half way and he will be home soon. I am looking so forward to the home comming and just being able to wrap my arms around him again. I must say I will be so glad when we go on shore duty for the next 3 years. This has been and experince for all of us, and yet a chance in a life time for him. I am so glad that he was able to have this opportunity to go there and take part on this and on the newest carrier in the navy. WOW what an honnor! There has been many happy and sad times along the way but soon their misson will be over and michael will finally be home. So as I have said before please keep him in your thoughts and prayers always. I will be keeping you up to date as time goes on. We love and miss you all......
